Bebe Benzenheimer is number 37 and her background is drawn from Kelly Bishop and Michon Peacock’s taping session done as research towards the making of A Chorus Line where the character is portrayed to have self-esteem issues, due to knocks of confidence from an exterior personality for example she mentions her mother tells her she would look “different with a personal flair” which leads to her resentment over time. Bebe finds comfort in ballet as it is where everyone can be beautiful which leads us into the number ‘At the Ballet’. Bebe also reveals she experienced a breakdown after an audition previously and has only just got out of the hospital, despite being uncertain of herself Bebe makes it past the initial cut and get a place on the line as one of the final eight.

I chose Bebe to be dressed in this pale blue one-piece dress skort that does up at the back as I like to think that despite their differences her Mother would buy her nice dance gear as a gesture to her chosen career and so, therefore, would help her get ready for the audition. I chose a light colour as Bebe comes across as shy and so wouldn’t dare wear any bold colours and so opts for a pastel colour to keep it safe so she can easily hide at the back of the rehearsals comfortably. She finishes her audition look off with nude tights and jazz shoes, her hair in a high ponytail with complimenting blue scrunchie her Mums made to go with her pale blue outfit and some simple eyeliner for makeup.
